Welcome to the Mount Pleasant Police Department's website. We invite you to explore our website and Facebook page. Please visit us on Facebook to stay updated and informed of current interests and other important information.
The Village of Mount Pleasant is geographically one of the largest and most populated Villages in the State of Wisconsin, measuring approximately 36 square miles and having over 27,000 residents. It is also home to almost 1,000 businesses, including numerous local, national, and international companies, including SC Johnson, Foxconn, Microsoft, CNH Industrial, Advocate Aurora, Ascension, and many others. With its current economic development and expansion, Mount Pleasant is one of the fastest-growing communities in Wisconsin.
The Village is strategically located between Milwaukee and Chicago, stretching from Lake Michigan to Interstate 94. It is bordered on the east by Lake Michigan and the City of Racine, on the north by the Village of Caledonia, on the west by the Town of Yorkville, and on the south by the Town of Somers in Kenosha County. There are five major state highways traveling through Mount Pleasant that allow excellent accessibility to all the amenities the Village has to offer.
The Mount Pleasant Police Department is staffed by 56 sworn officers and 10 non-sworn administrative professionals. Our department’s emphasis is on community policing and partner engagement, which helps to facilitate communication, cooperation, and collaboration throughout the community, making Mount Pleasant a safe place to live, work, and visit. The Village is served by the Racine County Communications Center, which provides 24/7 police, fire, and EMS dispatch service. If you need to contact dispatch, please call (262) 886-2300 or 911 in an emergency.
