NUISANCE WILDLIFE GUIDELINES:



Coyote, beaver, fox, raccoon, woodchuck, rabbit, and squirrel

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and the Village of Mount Pleasant will not remove nuisance wildlife; this is the landowner or lessees responsibility.  Please refer to the information below regarding options to discourage interactions with unwanted wildlife. 

IF A COYOTE APPROACHES:


  • Be as Big, Mean and Loud as possible  
  • Shout in a loud and deep voice                 
  • Throw objects at the coyote      
  • Do not run, maintain eye contact  

PET SAFETY:


  •  Keep your dog in sight and under control
  •  Avoid bushy areas or neglected properties
  • Keep cats indoors
  • Pets kept outdoors should be in a kennel with a covered top
