The Lakeside COP (Community Oriented Policing) House is located at 2237 Mead St. It was built with a donation from SC Johnson Wax, A Family Company, and continued grant funding from the Racine Community Foundation, along with other supporters from the community.
The purpose of the COP house is to allow officers assigned to work closely with the Lakeside community to address concerns of the residents. Through interaction with the residents, officers gain information on crime trends, quality of life concerns and the needs of the community allowing for program development to help the community.
The COP house was completed and opened its doors in early 2015. Two officers are currently staffed at the house though out the week and varying times. If you would like to speak to the assigned officers please contact them at (262) 664-7946. You can also follow the progress of the COP house, its community and events on the Facebook page at Lakeside COP Facebook.
