Engineering is charged with handling all engineering elements of development and day-to-day operations of the Village. Developments are required to submit civil engineering plans for site development and storm water ordinance compliance. The Department also handles all items related to Public Works within the Village.
Engineering staff handles day-to-day operations and facilitates the Public Works Committee and Utilities Commission directives. Staff handles development reviews for ordinance and engineering standards compliance. They also processes permits, provide planning for road maintenance, manage other utilities (Storm Water and Sanitary Sewer) and work to implement other public works actions, ordinance compliance or facilities development. Staff works with all departments to provide expertise as needed; including Planning and Development, Highway Department, Inspection Department, Police and Fire Departments and the Administration staff.
