VILLAGE CLERK & TREASURER

The primary function of the Village Clerk/Treasurer office is to provide service to citizens. The majority of our duties include direct contact with the public as well as elected officials. The department oversees the operation of Tax Collection, Licenses, Elections, Board of Review, Clerk, and Treasurer. The Clerk/Treasurer also attends Village Board and Finance/Legal/License Committee meetings and records minutes.

Checks made payable to the Village of Mount Pleasant (including money orders, cashier and traveler's checks) or cash are acceptable payment methods. Debit cards are not accepted. Credit cards are not accepted directly by the Village Clerk-Treasurer, however, you may pay taxes on-line or by phone. At the Prompt, enter Jurisdiction Code 5859.

The Village Clerk-Treasurer collects current real estate taxes from mid-December to January 31. After January 31, our real estate tax records are turned over to the Racine County Treasurer.
