The police and fire commission consist of five citizens who reside within the Village of Mt. Pleasant. Each member is appointed to a five year term by the Village .The police and fire commission are responsible of hiring the most qualified personnel for the Village of Mt. Pleasant Police Department and South Shore Fire Department.
