NUISANCE WILDLIFE GUIDELINES:
Coyote, beaver, fox, raccoon, woodchuck, rabbit, and squirrel
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and the Village of Mount Pleasant will not remove nuisance wildlife; this is the landowner or lessees responsibility. Please refer to the information below regarding options to discourage interactions with unwanted wildlife.
IF A COYOTE APPROACHES:
- Be as Big, Mean and Loud as possible
- Shout in a loud and deep voice
- Throw objects at the coyote
- Do not run, maintain eye contact
PET SAFETY:
- Keep your dog in sight and under control
- Avoid bushy areas or neglected properties
- Keep cats indoors
- Pets kept outdoors should be in a kennel with a covered top
