Drozd Park is a six-acre park located on Newman Road between Highway-38 and Spring St. A long gravel entrance will lead you to the park. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with two individual playground areas with swings, climbing equipment, slides, and a large sandbox with diggers. There is one shelter that comes complete with several picnic tables. A walking trail leads you along the edges of the park, where you will see all views of the sandlot ball diamond and neighboring woods. The ball diamond is a perfect place for a pick-up game of softball or kickball. There is also ample green space to kick a ball, fly a kite, or just enjoy nature.
As funding allows, future improvements to the park may include paving the entrance road and parking lot, adding a basketball hoop, Frisbee golf, and a sand volleyball court.
