Sewer Utility & Plumbing
The plumbing inspector is in the office from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, Monday through Friday. The inspector is out in the field after 10:00 am.
Plumbing permits can be found in the Applications and Permits link and in the Plumbing Fee Schedule on the left side of this page.
The residential sewer utility quarterly rate is a set charge, therefore not based on water usage. Quarterly bills are mailed 3/31, 6/30, 9/30 & 12/31 & due the last day of the following month. A 3% penalty is charged on all current billings if a payment is late, failure to receive bill does not exempt customers from late charges. This charge is applicable to all customers.
Payment methods are as follows:
Recurring Automatic Withdrawals From Your Checking or Savings Account - this is a free service offered for your convenience. Payments are automatically deducted from your checking or savings account each quarter so you never have to worry about getting a late fee on your sewer bill. View the ACH Form (PDF)

Payment Services Provided by:
Municipal Water Services Residents on municipal water will be billed quarterly by the City of Racine Water Utility. Therefore payments can not be made at the Village Hall. Water payments can be mailed to Racine Water & Wastewater Utility, PO Box 080948, Racine, WI 53408-0948, made in person at the Racine Water & Wastewater Utility office located at 800 Center Street, Room 227 in Racine or paid at any Tri City National Bank. Questions regarding your water bill should be directed to (262)636-9181.
Sewer Blockage/Sewer Backup Procedures In the event of sewage backup in your home, please contact the Mount Pleasant Sewer Utility before contacting a plumbing contractor. We will inspect our main line in the street for blockage. This service is at no charge to the resident. During normal business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, please call the Mount Pleasant Sewer Utility at (262) 664-7800. If you have a sewer backup after normal business hours, on the weekend or a holiday, call (262) 636-9550 and mention that you are located in Mount Pleasant.
Diggers Hotline State law requires that you contact Diggers Hotline, either by phone or on-line three working days before you disturb the soil.
