Welcome

The Village of Mount Pleasant is one of the fastest developing communities in Wisconsin located on the western shore of Lake Michigan in Racine County. With a population of over 26,000 residents, Mount Pleasant offers the peace and serenity of small village life with accessibility to metropolitan Milwaukee and Chicago. The Village of Mount Pleasant offers a wide variety of services and recreational opportunities. The Village Hall posts a calendar of weekly meetings and events.

The Village is governed by a seven-member board. The Board is elected to their positions on an at-large basis and each member serves a two-year term. In addition, the Village is served by an Administrator, appointed by the Board, who serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Village and manages its day to day activities and administers the policies set forth by the Board.

Numerous boards and commissions, composed of civic-minded residents and business leaders who volunteer their time and expertise, study issues of interest to the Village and make recommendations to the Board. Mount Pleasant's biggest asset is the people who live here - intelligent, friendly, neighborly people.
